Discover the winning Lenses from Spectacles Community Challenge #14, where developers explore new possibilities in spatial computing through AI-powered tools, interactive experiences, creative workflows, and immersive AR applications built for Spectacles.

June’s submissions highlight a diverse range of ideas and creative executions. Each use case, from AI-powered learning companions and real-world utility tools to immersive entertainment experiences, reflects an approach to building with Spectacles unique to every Developer.

Some projects transform everyday environments into interactive spaces, while others introduce entirely new ways of creating, learning, and collaborating through AR.

Every submission contributes to the growth of the Spectacles ecosystem. Developers are not only building individual Lenses. They are learning from each other, inspiring new ideas, experimenting with new workflows and tools, and keeping the spatial computing industry alive and thriving.

New Lens Category

A category that pushes you to experiment with unfamiliar tools, features, and ideas, turning curiosity into innovation to create new, engaging Lenses.

1st Place: CurioCity by the POV Team (Kaifeng Wu, Xinran Li & Uttam Grandhi)

CurioCity is a Spectacles Lens that transforms the real world into an AI-powered learning experience. Users can capture real-world objects with hand gestures to create personalized Curio Cards, which are organized into a persistent spatial collection by an AI companion named Momo.

The Lens also lets users discover geo-tagged cards created by others and challenge friends in AI-hosted trivia battles based on their combined collections.

2nd Place: Spatial Drawer by Vivek Thakur

Spatial Drawer is a Spectacles Lens that makes 3D sketching more intuitive by letting users draw directly in physical space with Snap Spectacles. Every stroke appears instantly in Blender through a real-time connection, eliminating the need to export or import files and creating a seamless AR-to-3D creation workflow.

3rd Place: BiteNavi by Louis Santos

BiteNavi Lens is an AI-powered nutrition coach that provides instant dietary guidance by analyzing food, menus, vending machines, and supplements through Snap Spectacles. Users can switch between diet modes such as Keto, Paleo, Low-Carb, Balanced, or custom plans using voice commands, while tracking daily calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat through a wrist-mounted dashboard.

Powered by Gemini AI through Snap’s Remote Service Gateway, the Lens delivers hands-free, personalized nutrition support directly within the user’s environment.

Runner up: WhenAbouts by Liam Mason

Whenabouts is a Spectacles Lens that transforms the user’s surroundings into a prehistoric discovery game using real fossil data from the Paleobiology Database. As users explore, they uncover ancient creatures that once lived in their location, guided by an AI narrator that explains each discovery and helps build a personal collection of collectible cards.

The Lens also features solo and multiplayer card battles, alongside accessibility options including spoken narration, multiple languages, adjustable playback speed, a kids mode, and a no-walking mode that makes the experience accessible from any location.

Runner up: DGNS Netrunner by Guillaume Dagens

DGNS Netrunner transforms the user’s surroundings into an interactive cyberpunk hacking experience. Players scan real-world surfaces to uncover hidden access points, solve hacking puzzles against the clock, and explore the world of Netrunning through spatial interactions designed exclusively for Spectacles.

The experience also features AI-powered Daemons that answer questions, real-time cyberpunk-inspired news feeds, and immersive interfaces powered by WorldQuery, blending the physical and digital worlds into a seamless AR adventure.

Lens Update Category

The Lens Update category invites you to revisit and enhance an already published Lenses, adding new features or refinements to unlock monetization and gain extra visibility.

1st Place: Hexenfurt Memories by the GrowPile Team (Nikola Kazakov & Manuel Nikolov)

Hexenfurt Memories is a procedurally generated escape room for Spectacles that challenges players to solve puzzles, uncover hidden lore, and experience a different adventure with every playthrough. This major update completely rebuilds the original Lens with improved performance, upgraded visuals, new interactive objects, and more varied procedural room generation.

The update also introduces an Archive Collection with discoverable collectibles, expanded settings, numerous gameplay refinements, and a full migration to TypeScript, making the experience more polished, replayable, and easier to maintain.

2nd Place: Wi-Fi Speed by Inna Horobchuk

WiFi Speed is a Spectacles Lens that helps users measure and visualize Wi-Fi coverage throughout their environment. This update introduces the ability to save and review coverage recordings in a companion web viewer, making it easier to analyze signal strength and identify strong and weak connection areas in a detailed 3D map.

The update also includes onboarding improvements, performance optimizations, and additional refinements that create a smoother and more comprehensive network analysis experience.

3rd Place: MiniMIDI v4 by Elsa Farrokhzad

MiNiMIDI is a Spectacles Lens that transforms any real-world surface into an interactive AR music deck. Users can generate custom stem kits with Google Lyria by choosing a genre, vibe, and instruments, then mix tracks through spatial controls including pads, crossfaders, BPM adjustments, and vinyl-style scratching.

The update introduces live mix recording, shared multiplayer deck handoffs through Spectacles Sync Kit, improved deck placement, a redesigned selection flow, and interactive visual effects, creating a more complete and collaborative music creation experience.

Open Source Category

This category welcomes open-source Lenses on GitHub, including those using Experimental APIs, giving you the freedom to push boundaries and break new ground without requiring Lens Explorer publication.

1st Place: YOLOv7 one click trainer by Pavlo Tkachenko & Stijn Spanhove

YOLOv7 one click trainer simplifies the process of creating custom object detectors by automating the entire training pipeline. Instead of manually capturing and labeling hundreds of images, users can generate training data with FLUX and apply automatic labeling with SAM 3, creating SnapML-ready models without drawing a single bounding box.

The experience makes custom object recognition more accessible, allowing developers to quickly teach Spectacles to recognize new objects and experiment with personalized AI-powered interactions.

2nd Place: Projection Mapping Portal by Kavin Kumar

Projection Mapping Portal creates a real-time parallax portal experience that turns a projected image into a window to another space. Users calibrate the projected area by pinching its four corners, allowing the 3D scene inside the portal to shift perspective naturally as they move their head.

By combining Spectacles with a projector, the Lens blends the physical and digital worlds to create an immersive spatial illusion where flat surfaces become interactive portals.

3rd Place: OSC-AR by Ludovic David

OSC-AR is a Spectacles Lens that enhances music creation workflows by connecting AR interactions with creative tools like TouchOSC, Logic Pro, and Launchpad X. The Lens enables new ways to control and experiment with music production, combining spatial computing with hands-on performance and composition.

The Spectacles Community Challenge continues to prove what happens when Developers are given the freedom to experiment, explore, and build without limits. Every edition brings new ideas that expand the possibilities of wearable computing, from practical everyday tools to completely new forms of interaction.
