Hi, Jonathan! Please, tell us something about yourself.

I’m from Brazil. I graduated in architecture. My filters are inspired by the things I love like movies, music and art in general. I have been creating filters since September 2019 and this year I had many filters becoming viral. The most famous one right now is Handsome squidward.

How many effects have you created so far and for which platforms?

I have 18 personal filters and more than 40 filters for clients.

Name the best three effects you created and briefly describe them.

My favorite filter I made is Estatua Viva. It makes the user look like a white marble statue. It was inspired by ancient greek and roman sculptures.

The second filter is Yo Soy Frida Kahlo – this filter was inspired by the mexican painter Frida Kahlo. It was my first filter and the second most used filter.

The third one is Handsome squidward. The name come from an Sponge Bob episode that Squidward become handsome. I made this filter just for fun and almost didn’t post it on IG but surprisingly it became my most popular filter with a lot of celebrities using it in their stories.

Which platform for creating AR filters is your favourite and why?

I learned how to use Spark AR first and enjoyed it very much. I didn’t try other platforms yet but maybe in the future.

What in your opinion makes an AR effect successful?

It must have a clear concept and good execution. It is also great when it has a unique idea.
