Please tell us something about yourself. Where are you from and were do you work? For how long have you been creating AR filters? Are you a freelancer or a member of the company specializing in AR filters? etc.

I am from venezuela, I live in Los Ángeles California. I am freelancer and work at my apartment. I discovered Spark AR in 2019 and I was introduced to the industry by some friends that had already worked in the field. I love to sit and put my creativity to the max and see how magic becomes reality.

How many effects have you created so far and for which platforms?

I have created around 50 effects for Instagram.

Name the best three effects you created and briefly describe them (this effects will be featured in the article)

Dandelions – this effect is an immersive effect that will change the way you are looking at the world at that moment, it lights the entire room with small particles and makes you feel like you are in a magic movie. It’s my favorite one so far.

Lovely Fantasy – I create this effect using neon particles that works with the device motion of the phone and it’s fun a lovely.

Skull bones – I did medschool back in my country Venezuela. So anatomy was one of my passions so I decided to create this effect that allows students to learn the bones of the head with colors and names and I think it’s so helpful and educational.

Which platform for creating AR filters is your favourite and why?

I think Instagram is leading the market and allows creator to be credited by their own work and is growing so fast. I love that they are putting so much into that and upgrading the platform everyday something new came up , and also the software they are providing to the creator which is free allows to everyone who wants to express themselves and create to do it.

What in your opinion makes an AR effect successful?

The amount of love you put into make it. And also being unique with always play in your favor.
