Please tell us something about yourself. Where are you from and were do you work? For how long have you been creating AR filters? Are you a freelancer or a member of the company specializing in AR filters? etc.
I work for a company called Popul-AR. It’s based in Brussels, Belgium and specializes in AR.
How many effects have you created so far and for which platforms?
40 for my own Instagram, 1 for Facebook and more than 30 for other accounts
Name the best three effects you created and briefly describe them (this effects will be featured in the article)
Nani – There are arms attached to your head juggling 2 heads with your face on it.
Baby Face – A head, arms and legs are attached to the head but only after 5 seconds will the head be visible for extra laughs.
Gachapon – inspired by toy vending machines in Japan and the weird small toys that come with it.
Which platform for creating AR filters is your favourite and why?
Spark AR because it’s the first AR making program I’ve learned and it’s easier to use compared to the other programs but recently I have also been looking into other AR softwares.
What in your opinion makes an AR effect successful?
AR becomes successful if the users are able to connect and engage with it. If the users have a memorable experience with your AR effect, then there’s a higher chance that they would want to share that experience with others too.
If there is anything else you would like to share please do it here:
I like making weird effects the most but I’m not limited to that. I also enjoy making beautiful effects as well but it seems that my audience favors the funny ones haha
